The Seattle Sounders did plenty of celebrating in Toronto after winning their first MLS Cup on Saturday … but there’s a lot more to be done back home.
According to SoundersFC.com, a parade to honor the champions will be held Tuesday afternoon in the greater Seattle metropolitan area.
Full details of the “MLS Cup Champions March and Rally,” including the march route and exact timing, will be released in the coming days while the team works with the city to organize the event. In the meantime, Sounders fans can greet the team at the Seattle airport later today.
The last victory parade in Seattle was in early 2014 when an estimated 700,000 people showed up to honor the Super Bowl champion Seahawks.
