North America- The white house has said in a statement on Thursday that President,Donald Trump will host Canadian Prime Minister,Justin Trudeau on Monday,13 .
“The meeting will tackle issues such as trade and a major crude oil pipeline”, according to Reuters.
The statement said that President Trump and Prime Minister Trudeau are looking forward to a constructive conversation on strengthening the relationship between the two nations.
Trudeau’s office said in a statement that the leaders are looking forward to discussing the two nations unique relationship.
This will be the first meeting for the two men since Trump won last November’s election.
Reuters adds that Canada sends 75 percent of its exports to the United States.
Last month Trump cleared the way for TransCanada Corp’s (TRP.TO) proposed Keystone XL pipeline from the Alberta oil sands to U.S. refineries.
If built, the project could help a Canadian energy sector struggling with low crude prices.
